It seems appropriate that I kick this off with all time favorites. Off to see some friends and fam this weekend so I figured I should bake some treats to bring along. So...I baked up...just happened to have the dough in the freezer just waiting to be baked...crispy oat cookies and mini chocolate chip cookies. I have been making the crispy oat cookies since my great Aunt, Erma made them for me nineteen yrs ago. These seem to be a favorite with so many folks, usually asking for the recipe and a need to take a filled goodie bag home. They are hard to describe since they look like a peanut butter cookie but they taste a bit like a crunchy oatmeal with some uniqueness. I can only share them in a picture now, since this has become a signature cookie for me....sorry!!!
As for the mini chocolate chip cookies I just follow the recipe on the back of Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips and scoop out mini versions....ENJOY!!!
