Halloween Time

Halloween House
What will they think of next? I thought making a gingerbread train last year with my son was a holiday tie in that couldn't be topped but here it is, a cookie house ready for Halloween decor.
My son had been asking to make another gingerbread house so when I saw this at Michael's I snapped it up for a mere $5.

Everything is ready for you to just assemble and then add your own creativity to making it a great looking house ready to be seen on Houzz. A fun, creative and festive lil project for you and your kiddo.

Halloween Park Party!!!
My dear friend, Shannon and I decided that Halloween time is not complete with a Halloween party play date for all our circle of friends. We are so blessed to have this support circle of such amazing families. We only need an excuse to get together, right. So we put together a fun afternoon.
We decorated Live Oak park in lots of orange and black, cob webs and spirited decor. We had a few stations to keep the kiddos busy - cookie decorating, bean bag toss on the haunted train, mummy bowling and of course trick or treating.

Our trick or treating was a different door to door type. We sent up lil tents complete with a Mommy in each one passing out treats. The kids loved it!
This may become an annual tradition.

mummy juices, yum!
some creative & sweet treats
Shannon ready for the trick or treaters
Of course we have had our share of fun Halloween themed events during the month - from Cottone and Sons pumpkin patch, to a trip to Underwood Farms, school harvest festival and of course block parties and the actual neighborhood trick or treating.
So many treats, the trick is to not be exhausted at the end - good luck and here's to next year and more fun!
