Some Bunny Loves You

Be as creative as you want -
works of art & stripes this year
Yes, this time of year brings out some of the cutesy and creative side to me, well at least I try. For the Jewish girl who always got an Easter basket from the bunny by way of my Aunt Jane its only in recent years with my own son that I have gotten into the fun spirit of how and what all to do. Thank goodness for creative people on Pinterest! First there are the coloring of the eggs of which you can go simple but of course (use some Paas dye and just go for it) I have to over achieve just a bit. So, I lifted a few ideas I pinned from Pinterest - 1) wrap rubber bands around an egg then dip into the dye once you get the color you want take the egg out and then the rubber bands off and voila you have stripes. 2) work of art - dye the egg then remove from the dye and draw a frame shape on the egg with a sharpie then your lil one can make a picture inside the frame area. My lil man thought that was too cool. This year two of our friends hosted a egg hunt/Easter party for the kiddos.

I brought two items in the bunny theme - 1) bunny buns 2) Bunny dip bowl it was fairly easy with the help of using frozen bread and following the video to make sure my bunnies actually came out looking like bunnies. Everyone enjoyed the festive yummy bites.
After bfast with the bunny
And we celebrated with family today with an egg hunt and lunch at home. So great to have my in-laws in town and my Mom to share in Austin's fun times. Here are the recipes I made - Spinach and cheese strata, roasted spiced carrots, roasted asparagus with lemons, simple fruit salad, bagels and cinnamon swirl bread.
