This has become a popular song and game around our house this year. Our son being the leader always. He has mastered his dreidel spinning skills (almost better than me). It warms my heart just to hear him spell gelt but of course he would rather eat them. As the song goes...dreidel, dreidel, dreidel I made you out of ....well, I made you out of marshmallows this year. Here was the inspiration for my dreidels this year. No Hanukkah party this year (maybe next year if I start planning in Sept.) but a festive family dinner and with latkes of course, a celery root salad, and chickens from Manhattan Meats.

Our son now knows we say the blessing and light the candles each night at sundown and then a gift with a corresponding number for that night. Yup our son has got these traditions down. One lucky boy!
