Way not start the year off with happiness? Well at least ways to work towards making happiness. I've been reading The Happiness Project and its simple in the basic premise on how to work on achieving happiness. So I have been taking a cue and working on my happiness plans. More to come on that later this month.
Speaking of happiness, what could be better than New Year's Eve celebrations revolving around children. Well since we have one child we think its pretty cool, especially since the years gone by where we had to stay up until midnight, go to a great party or even the year that we rang it in with millions in NY's Times Square now we do fun stuff for and with the kids. So the daytime was fun at a friend's 4 yr old b'day party complete with a 12 noon countdown with balloon falling...very cool the kids thought it was awesome. That night we had a fun a gathering at a friends and all the kids had a cupcake countdown at 6 pm. Again a good time
really for everyone!
Every January people start their new year's resolutions - maybe starting to work out more, eat better or hey make more happiness. I thought as I tuned into the Rocky marathon on New Years day...all the while thinking this is a sign for me...maybe that half marathon I've wanted to train for or maybe a theme 'can't keep this woman down'...time to try new things.
In addition, it was time to make some energy bites.

Makes about 20 bites.
Keep in airtight container, will keep up to a week. Great lil treat to grab and go!
Now, can you hear 'Gonna Fly Now' or 'Eye of the Tiger'?
