No bake breakfast bars

With the summer winding down soon its good to have some quick and easy breakfasts ready so more time for the beach and fun before school days are upon us. 
Here are some no bake breakfast bars. Serve up with some yogurt and fruit and you are good!

Ingredients:
1 c. gluten free rolled oats (I use Trader Joes)
1/4 c. coconut flakes
1/2 c. ground flaxseed meal
1/2 c. raw almond butter
1/3 c. agave
1/2 tsp cinnamon 
1/2 c. dried bing cherries (can can use any dried fruit you like/have on hand)
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together; until well blended
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, sprayed with coconut oil. Press down and make even with a spatula. Put in freezer for 30 min to firm up. Take out, cut into 8 squares. Serve up or wrap individually and bag up in freezer until ready to serve. 
The flax seed also carries a big nutrient payload. While it’s not technically a grain, it has a similar vitamin and mineral profile to grains and has more fiber, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids than most grains. In addition, it does not contain gluten and is very low in carbohydrates, ideal for people who limit their starches and sugars. What are you serving up for an easy breakfast?Enjoy!
