I've been feeling so far behind in life lately. I think about 2 1/2 months behind. Hmmm that's about when we moved ok but we 've been moving (see what I did there) forward, it might take me longer to get things done but that's ok I am trying to let go of doing everything perfectly and just do without worrying so much about every little thing.
One thing that definitely helps me is being prepared, planning ahead for weekly meals is a game changer. I started doing this a few years ago and it just helps me so much. Those times when it's 4pm and I would start sweating it out not knowing what to make for dinner and when I do weekly grocery shopping.
For those that know I love to be organized so, I see it as just another way to keep organized and at times like now its definitely saving me. I use my Google Keep app for notes and lists so I can create it anytime/anywhere. I usually plan some standard themes like meatless Mondays and taco Tuesday which help me narrow down options. I also have my sous chef son choose dinner or two or I let him plan the week for us. That's how we have breakfast for dinner this week. I also have many recipes, ones I've created or from my favorite cookbooks and chiefs I follow that are my go tos. So when we want chicken tacos or a veggie soup I have a great stand by that I know is a proven success.
What do you do to plan for your weekly menus? Or set yourself up for successful meals?
Above all enjoy what you make and make what you and your family enjoy!
