Remembering sweetly

Today would have been my dad's 74th birthday. It hit me rather hard but remembering him with my family around made my heart a little lighter. My son suggested we honor grandpa by baking one of his favorite treats. And since my dad was the original cookie monster I knew just how we would make a sweet memory of today.
I modified the Milk Bar's salted chocolate chip cookie from here swapping the dry milk for coconut milk and using the best French butter, Beurre D'Isigny (thx @maliaaita ). I could almost see me practicing my French with him before traveling to my family in Paris. As we baked we listened to some of my dad's favorite music, family dancing in the kitchen and my sweet boy wiped away a few of my tears. Remembering the love I have for my dad today and every day. What do you do to honor those loved ones no longer with you?
Enjoy!
